Reference is made to the GPU-based rendering.
Today full presentation of GPU-based V-Ray solution at V-Ray User Event (Aug 6th, 2009, 5:00pm-8:00pm, New Orleans Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center) will reveal how GPU-accelerated raytracing finally becomes practical with V-Ray rendering solutions. All those who registered to attend today's V-Ray User Event will be the first who will see the new upcoming technology from Chaos Group – a GPU-based V-Ray Solution.
Following the introduction of the V-Ray RT interactive raytracing technology Chaos Software announces the next step in its development. Massively parallel general-purpose GPUs become more widely available, and with industry-standard APIs now in place to utilize them, the usage of GPUs to accelerate raytracing finally becomes practical. Combined with the existing distributed rendering architecture of V-Ray RT, this solution will offer unparalleled ray-tracing performance far beyond what is available today.
Chaos Software performed extensive research into current and emerging technologies for acceleration of raytracing. The already great and ever increasing power of GPUs and the acceptance and implementation of OpenCL as an industry standard were the decisive factors for selecting this platform for future development. The goal of Chaos Software is to deliver on the GPU the same level of photorealistic rendering now available in the V-Ray RT engine with complex material and lighting effects, including physically accurate global illumination, glossy reflections, area lights, layered materials, etc. at speed never imagined before.

Ha! so true! This was my second time in Annecy and finally did I discover these elusive parties! Being Dutch allowed me to get into the -apparently famous- Dutch party quite easily; the other ones were trickier; and thus even more fun. Truly a whole other dimension to this already remarkable event. Perhaps I'll find you somewhere in a dingy bar next year.

Diner dash is a very popular game. My wife cannot stop playing this game, although she has dozens of games installed.

I think it is becoming obvious that the new medium for advertising is the mobile phone. Text messages, Apps, and Blue Tooth capability make the mobile phone an obvious advertising medium.

With BlueTooth Tech coming out, people who are in close proximity to a blue tooth signal broadcaster you setup, can be asked to interact with it. If they choose yes, they can download images, text, video, GAMES, or even stream information. Once they're in, you can ask them to signup to your newsletter or regular updates, in which you can provide them value.

The first step to moving to mobile is to start using text messages to advertise. Text message advertising is inexpensive and updates your customers instantly no matter where they are. The possibilities are endless. Check out www.clientxt.com to learn about text message advertising.

Once more people are on the SMS advertising bandwagon, Clientxt, and other companies like it, will move toward making blue tooth "Proximity Marketing" complementary to their products.

The mobile platform offers a whole new market thats still relatively untapped. Only things missing are good, appropriate pitches; ideas that could reach out to the mobile professional looking to kill some time while waiting for his transit.

Its a whole new game.

Animation has always been a hobby of mine, but I only started to think of it as a serious career choice relatively recently. I started a blog.

Your pages are really amazing and helping to reach and know about animation events, good coverage!

thanks!
